The congregation routinely selects a group of men to serve as elders, leaders or shepherds. The shepherds are called to feed [teach] and protect the congregation. The shepherds’ emphasis is on people, not programs and their unique ministry carries with it a responsibility for the souls of our congregation.

Ky Graham

Ky Graham was born and raised in Friona Texas. He graduated from Friona High School in 1979. He went to college at Lubbock Christian University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Business in 1983. Ky, later received his certification to teach at Texas Tech University. While at LCU he met the love of his life Lanis Rhea. They were married in 1982. They have been happily married for 42 years. Ky And Lanis raised three children Kyla, Krista and Kaison. Ky and Lanis now proudly have three grandkids, Kase, Kopeland and Indiana. Ky was engaged in farming for 22 years and taught and coached basketball and various other sports for 21 years. Ky And Lanis moved to Graham in 2015 where Ky was a history teacher and Head Girls Basketball coach for seven years. After the 2022 School year, Ky retired from Coaching and Teaching. Ky is now the owner and operator of K&L Sales in Graham.

Steve Jones

Dr. Steve Jones has lived in Graham since 2001. “Doc” graduated from Sundown High School and then Abilene Christian University. He married his high school sweetheart, Kristi, before moving to San Antonio for medical school. Upon graduation with his MD, the couple moved to Fort Worth so Steve could complete a Family Medicine residency at JPS Hospital. During those three years their son Joel was born. The Joneses moved to Graham where their daughter, Claire, was born just three months after they moved to town. Steve is a partner at GMA Health, is a hospitalist at GRMC, and serves as medical director for BeyondFaith Hospice. He is a trustee for Graham ISD as well. Steve served as deacon for 15 years before being asked to be an Elder in 2018.

Donnie McCool

Donnie was born in 1940 in Nocona, TX. He was baptized in 1952 and graduated from Nocona High School in 1958. He and Reba Walker were married in April 1960. He graduated from Texas Tech in August 1963 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. The family moved to Graham in 1969, with Donnie working as County Supervisor of USDA Farmers Home Administration. Since moving to Graham, Donnie and Reba have been active members of Eastside Church of Christ. Donnie taught and worked with youth in earlier years then teaching adult classes regularly. He has also served as a deacon and is presently serving as an Elder. Donnie and Reba have two sons, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Roger Wood

Roger Wood and his wife Pam have been Eastside members since 1982. They have two daughters, Katie and Emily, and two grandchildren. Roger retired in 2016 from a 34-year career in the electrical power industry. In his free time he enjoys studying and reading, motorcycling, and family time.

Troy Wolfe

Troy Wolfe was born in Breckenridge, Texas in 1977. He attended Harding University to play baseball where he was a four-year letterman for the Bison baseball team. While at Harding he met Shana Weatherbee. Troy and Shana married in 1999, and both completed their degree. Shortly after, they moved to Shana’s hometown, Graham, where they both began to attend Eastside Church of Christ, the church that Shana and her family had attended for decades. In 2002, they had their first child, Easton, and four years later, they had their daughter, Lexi. Troy is the General Manager of Hub Machine and Tool in Graham. In his spare time, Troy enjoys farming and ranching and the occasional round of golf. Troy also officiates college football during the fall.

Travis Caddell

Travis Caddell is originally from Springtown attending the Springtown Church of Christ. He later left to attend UNT in Denton where he married his wife Nellie. He received his DDS degree from UT Houston and had the opportunity to move to Decatur where they had their three kids, Jack, Porter and Eva. In 2012, Travis had the chance to move to Graham to start his dental practice. The Caddell family started attending Eastside shortly after moving to Graham where they have been active members and enjoy helping with youth activities and adult classes. Travis was named a Deacon over Children’s and Youth programs and even sat on the committee that helped find a new youth minister. The Caddell family loves their church home and feels very connected to the people here.

Deane Durham

Deane was born and raised in the Permian Basin and graduated from Crane High School in ‘74. After a time in the US Army, Deane met the love of his life and married Vicki in 1980 in Odessa. Deane graduated with a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in ‘87 and spent a long career in the energy industry. The Durham’s have two great daughters, a wonderful son-in-law and an awesome grandson; all North Texans. Deane was baptized at Riverside Church of Christ in Lafayette, LA in 1996. The couple moved to Graham in 2022 and have attended Eastside since that time. Deane was added to the elder team at Eastside in 2024.

The elders routinely select a group of men to serve as deacons or servants. The primary use of the word in the Bible is “servant”. The value of these members are to assist the shepherds/elders to fulfill specific ministries within the church.
